Assistance in Getting a Medicaid Waiver

At Essential Family Services LLC, we can help give you information about getting Medicaid waivers. At the moment, we only accept the Community Living Waiver (CL), Building Independence Waiver (BI) and Family and Individual Support Waiver (FIS).

Who Chooses the Provider?

Your child and you, or a family member must decide which provider to use. Always ask for a tour of the organization's services and programs, and talk to the staff and the people they support. Talk to other parents or family members. If your child is still in school, talk to his or her teacher.

My Child or Family Member is Currently in a Group Home But Would Prefer to Live on Their Own. Can They Get the Same Type of Service?

Yes, because we're licensed to provide the same type of services as a group home. We provide support in people's apartments, in the way they prefer to live, and on their own time.

How Do I Change Providers?

You can request a provider, like Essential Family Services, by name, to your CSB support coordinator and we will be happy to accommodate you.
